The Department of Student Life through the Office of New Student Programs has started the Involvement Ambassadors, a group of enthusiastic and involved undergraduate students. Their mission is to teach students the importance and benefits of campus involvement as well as providing information on how to seek out personally relevant opportunities.
The Involvement Ambassadors are available to give presentations to classes and student groups, as well as one-on-one consultations for students looking for more direction with their involvement options.
* Do you feel lost in the shuffle, overwhelmed by all of your choices
of activities and events, or are yet to find something that really
grabs your attention here at MU?
Come to the Office of New Student Programs in the lower level of the MU Student Center or newstudent.missouri.edu to sign up for a personal consultation with an Involvement Ambassador! We’ll help you find direction, narrow down your many options, and get the most out of your opportunities at Mizzou.
* Are you a class instructor (FIGs, SSC1150, etc.) or the leader of a student group (campus organization, fraternity or sorority, etc.) and think your students could benefit from learning about their involvement options and the benefits that come with being involved at MU?
We’ll gladly give your students a presentation that teaches about the resources this campus has to offer in terms of getting involved, as well as explain the range of benefits that come from that involvement, including growth in social, academic, and career development. Help your students be the best Tigers they can be!
More than 80% of students are involved in campus activities at MU: Join your peers…expand your horizons…make new friends! (Student Life Survey II – 2010)
